Lead – Energy Software Pre Sales

Relevant Experience :
10+ years of experience out of which at least 5-6 years should be in Energy with 3 or more years of consultative sales/pre sales experience within the utility industry, preferably within Power.
Strong knowledge of Energy Software, Predictive Maintenance, Asset Management & Smart Grid Concepts within the industry expected.
Key Aspects of Job :
• Company wants this role to grow into a thought leadership role within the Energy/Utility market driving all levels of current and future software based strategy and execution to gain Commercial value.
• Define, build and implement commercial strategy for Software (i.e. commercial models, pricing strategy, etc.) connected to offerings.
• Managing all technical aspects of RFP/RFI responses and assisting with the production of proposal deliverables. As a Pre Sales Leader, consulting with product management and marketing to create competitive offerings, solutions and develop ways to effectively present them.
• Conducting in-depth product demonstrations/proof-of-concepts and assisting in the building of demonstration materials as required along with internal and partner teams.
• Lead customer engagement at CIO/Plant Head/CDO level to introduce our vision, link customer business objectives to our solution sets and align client expectations to measurable outcomes and quantifiable business value.
• Develop the go to market strategy with the marketing team, via channels, consultants, partners or direct.
• Meet and exceed assigned quarterly and yearly sales and strategic account objectives in Energy Sector.
• Be a creative problem solver and generate ideas that will benefit the company; recognize opportunities within the Indian Energy Sector and quickly mobilize resources to take advantage of those opportunities by creating, articulating and executing against the strategic plan.
• Educate, train and develop current sales/pre sales, delivery talent
Special Qualifications :
• Deep Knowledge in Smart Grid, Energy Efficiency, Block Chain, Renewables, Asset Management, other Energy & utility software and services
• Thought leadership, comfortable with market and technology trends, develop content and domain expertise; articulate with ability to tell a compelling story and vision
• Strong desire to train and enable sales professionals to embrace and use solution selling approaches that compel end customers to adopt and implement software to solve more strategic, comprehensive, mission critical business problems. Should be Business/commercially-focused and results oriented. Strong fiscal focus including budgets, ROI and Cost Benefit Analysis.
• Consultative and client-oriented, a creative problem solver with a collaborative nature. Executive Leadership; ability to influence/negotiate with peers and vendors.
• Excellent oral and written communication; Strong listening skills; Process oriented skills for continuous improvement; Must be a self-starter, proactive and highly organized.
