Employment Type: Contract (9 months)Reporting Line: Singapore teamOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer to join a dynamic and globally recognized academic institution on a 9-month contractual engagement. The role involves developing and maintaining web applications using PHP, ReactJS, AWS, and MySQL, while also managing DevOps operations to ensure seamless deployment and system performance.Key ResponsibilitiesApplication DevelopmentDevelop and maintain scalable web applications using PHP (Symfony) and ReactJSDesign and implement RESTful APIs for smooth frontend-backend integrationManage and optimize MySQL databases for performance and reliabilityEnsure application security, responsiveness, and efficiencyWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code; participate in peer code reviewsDevOps & Operational TasksConfigure and manage AWS infrastructure (Elastic Beanstalk, S3, RDS, CloudFront)Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deploymentsMonitor application performance and server health using AWS toolsTroubleshoot production issues and ensure system uptime and availabilitySupport & MaintenanceRespond to and resolve support tickets related to application incidents and service requestsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain seamless operationsProvide proactive monitoring, maintenance, and operational supportRequired Skills & ExperienceMinimum 5 years of professional experience in full-stack web developmentStrong expertise in PHP (Symfony framework)Proficient in ReactJS and modern JavaScript frameworksSolid understanding of MySQL and relational database designHands-on experience with AWS services (Elastic Beanstalk, S3, RDS)Familiarity with Git and version control best practicesExperience designing and working with RESTful APIsKnowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)Nice-to-HaveExperience with Docker and containerizationFamiliarity with serverless architecture (AWS Lambda)Exposure to monitoring tools such as CloudWatch or New RelicUnderstanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologiesAwareness or interest in AI-based technologiesWe carefully review every application and will reach out to shortlisted candidates who best match our clients’ requirements.
