You'll work on challenging problems involving large-scale data processing, spatial analytics, and interactive visualizations that power critical business decisions for clients worldwide.As part of our engineering team, you'll be developing solutions that handle billions of geospatial data points, building intuitive dashboards and analytics tools, and working with modern cloud infrastructure. You'll collaborate closely with our head of engineering and contribute to both the technical architecture and implementation of features that directly impact our clients' success.This role is currently remote based in Bangalore, India (or candidates willing to relocate), with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid work arrangement in the future.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain features for our geospatial analytics platform using React.Js, TypeScript, and Node.JsBuild and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices that process and serve geospatial data at scaleWork with PostgreSQL/PostGIS to design efficient spatial queries and data modelsImplement interactive map visualizations and data exploration toolsDevelop data processing pipelines for ingesting and transforming large geospatial datasetsCollaborate with the engineering team on architecture decisions and technical roadmapWrite clean, maintainable, well-tested code following best practicesParticipate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharingOptimize application performance and resolve technical challengesWork with AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelinesQualificationsRequired:2+ years of professional software development experienceStrong proficiency in React.Js and modern frontend development practicesSolid Node.Js backend development experience (Express, Fastify, or similar frameworks)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related engineering discipline (B.Tech/BE)Advanced TypeScript knowledge with strong typing practicesStrong computer science fundamentals and problem-solving abilitiesUnderstanding of RESTful API design principlesExperience with Git and collaborative development workflowsAbility to write clean, maintainable code with appropriate testingStrongly Preferred:Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database design and optimizationExperience with Redis or other caching/in-memory data storesExperience with GIS technologies and geospatial data (PostGIS, GeoJSON, spatial queries)Familiarity with map visualization libraries (Mapbox, Leaflet, DeckGL, or similar)Experience with tile-based GIS and map rendering technologiesExperience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, or similar)Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS/Fargate)Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation)Understanding of spatial data formats and coordinate systemsExperience with data processing and ETL pipelinesExperience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, etc.)Background in working with location-based analytics or mapping productsNice to Have:Knowledge of spatial indexing and optimization techniquesFamiliarity with geospatial analysis libraries and toolsExperience with data visualization frameworks (D3.Js, Recharts, etc.)Understanding of hexagonal spatial indexing systemsContributions to open-source projectsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldWhat We OfferOpportunity to work on cutting-edge geospatial technologyRemote-first work culture with flexible hoursCollaborate with a talented engineering team solving complex problemsDirect impact on product direction and technical decisionsExposure to diverse industries and use cases (retail, real estate, urban planning)Professional growth opportunities in a fast-growing company
