About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SharePoint Administrator to join our IT team. As a SharePoint Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of our SharePoint environment.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the platform's stability, security, and optimal performance, enabling effective collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, permissions, and best practices, as well as excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Key Environment Management: Administer and maintain the overall SharePoint environment, including site collections, web applications, service applications, and databases.
User Management and Security: Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings within SharePoint, ensuring appropriate access controls and data protection.
Site Collection Administration: Create, configure, and manage site collections, including setting up site templates, features, and navigation.
Content Management Support: Provide support for content management tasks, including document libraries, lists, workflows, and content types.
System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor SharePoint system performance, identify and resolve issues, and perform regular maintenance tasks such as backups, patching, and and Support: Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting SharePoint-related issues and providing timely resolutions.
Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization: Monitor storage utilization, analyze performance metrics, and implement strategies to optimize SharePoint performance and capacity.
Governance and Compliance: Assist in the development and implementation of SharePoint governance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory and Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for SharePoint processes and provide training to end-users on platform features and best with Other Teams: Work closely with other IT teams, such as network, server, and security teams, to ensure the smooth operation of the SharePoint environment.
Staying Current: Keep abreast of the latest SharePoint updates, features, and best practices, and recommend improvements to the platform.
Technical Skills Required :
- Deep understanding of SharePoint architecture: Including site collections, web applications, service applications, databases, and farm topologies.
- Proficiency in SharePoint administration tools and techniques: Including Central Administration,
PowerShell, and third-party management tools.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint security concepts: Including permissions, authentication, and authorization.
- Experience with SharePoint workflows and automation: Including SharePoint Designer, Power Automate, and custom workflow development.
- Understanding of SharePoint content management features: Including document libraries, lists, content types, and metadata.
- Familiarity with SharePoint search configuration and optimization.
- Experience with SharePoint backup and recovery procedures.
- Knowledge of SharePoint performance monitoring and tuning.
- Understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure related to SharePoint.
- Experience with SharePoint migration and upgrade projects (a plus).
Additional Skills :
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-
technical users.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 services (a plus).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation.
