About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled WordPress & PHP Developer with 3–4 years of experience to join our

remote-first team. The ideal candidate must have excellent technical expertise and exceptional

communication skills to collaborate effectively with a distributed team. You will be responsible for

developing, customizing, and maintaining high-performance and scalable web solutions.

Key Responsibilities


• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins.


• Build dynamic and responsive websites using PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.


• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services.


• Optimize website performance for speed, SEO, and scalability.


• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure robust, secure, and high-quality applications.


• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams ensuring clear and effective communication.


• Follow best coding practices, maintain code quality, and adhere to project timelines.


• Use remote collaboration tools (Slack, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, etc.) efficiently.

Required Skills & Qualifications


• 3–4 years of professional experience in WordPress and PHP development.


• Expertise in custom theme and plugin development.


• Strong proficiency in PHP and familiarity with frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter (optional but

preferred).


• Solid understanding of MySQL database design, optimization, and integration.


• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.


• Experience integrating REST APIs and other third-party services.


• Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows in distributed teams.


• Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, security standards, and website performance

optimization.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills — must be able to clearly articulate ideas,

requirements, and technical solutions.

Nice-to-Have Skills


• Experience with WooCommerce development and customization.


• Familiarity with React or Vue.js for advanced front-end work.


• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud hosting environments.


• Experience in WordPress security hardening and compliance best practices.
