Role Description

As a Designer on Pocketpill Design, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of problems — from building a user-focused design experience on our mobile app or website to creating an effective order management system front, and ensuring that we’re user focused even in the most business-focused problems.

As a designer on the team, you’ll be exposed to a plethora of customer and business problems and be tasked with solving for the highest impact ones. You’ll partner with PMs to translate anything between business problems, product hypotheses or feature requests to concrete, quantifiable and solvable customer problems. You’ll be empowered to drive towards delivering effective solutions and elegant user experiences through partnership with your product and engineering peers. And finally, you’ll help deliver these solutions in partnership with engineering.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Define the user interface for new and existing products and features.
• Develop high level and detailed storyboards, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Gauge the usability of products and make constructive suggestions for change.
• Validate development work to ensure high-quality, consistent implementation of designs.
• Plan, run, and synthesize qualitative & quantitative user research.
• Participate in all agile rituals including daily stand-ups, iteration planning, story huddles, etc. Ensure that all work is captured in Jira.
• Align with Business stakeholder and other team in Canada for Product requirement
• Work closely with Product and Tech to come up the UI/UX for the end customer in house operations team.

Requirements And Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, Human Factors/Ergonomics, CS, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of experience working on an e-commerce product. 
• Proficiency with rapid prototyping tools like Figma, XD, Axure, or Sketch.
• Proficiency in creating user journeys, personas, scenarios, navigational maps, flow diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Planning and running usability testing and synthesizing results into actionable recommendations.
• Basic knowledge of using analytics tools to inform design decisions.
• Experience with Agile practices and working with agile development teams.
• Familiar with Design Thinking and Lean UX principles & techniques.
