Role Overview

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) with strong expertise in AI system development, Python, and scalable architectures. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of professional experience in building secure, reliable, and scalable software solutions, with hands-on work in AI-driven systems.

You will play a key role in building and optimizing Checkmed’s healthcare platform, ensuring our services are powered by robust, secure, and intelligent systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven systems and features, from prototype to production.
  • Build scalable and secure microservices architectures for healthcare workflows.
  • Develop robust authentication and authorization systems to ensure privacy and compliance.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in Python and Node.js.
  • Work with relational and vector databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Pinecone) to build intelligent and performant solutions.
  • Collaborate with product, AI, and infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Ensure system designs prioritize security, privacy, and scalability at every stage.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Python and frameworks like FastAPI, LangChain.
  • Proficiency in Node.js for backend development.
  • Experience with databases like PostgreSQL and vector databases like Pinecone.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML system design and deployment.
  • Proven experience in scalable architecture design and microservices.
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices and authentication systems.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Hands-on with DevOps tools (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
  • Prior experience in healthcare or fintech SaaS products.
