As an Infra Automation Engineer (Linux Engineer) , you will manage and optimize our Linux-based infrastructure. You will be a part of the DevOps team to ensure our trading systems' stability, performance and scalability. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining high availability and ensuring that our infrastructure supports the demands of high-speed trading.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages to streamline system administration tasks and improve efficiency.
Administer and maintain Linux-based servers and systems , ensuring their optimal performance, availability and security.
Perform system installations, configurations and upgrades, including kernel and software updates.
Monitor system performance and health, using tools to analyze and resolve performance issues.
Optimize system configurations to meet the high-performance requirements of high-frequency trading applications.
Work closely with the DevOps team to integrate and support CI/CD pipelines, automation tools and other DevOps practices.
Collaborate with trading teams and other IT departments to support infrastructure needs and resolve issues.
Shift schedule: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Qualifications:
Functional Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience with Jenkins and Ansible is required.
Proven 3+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, ideally in a high-frequency trading or financial services environment.
Experience with Linux distributions (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL) and familiarity with Linux system architecture and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in Linux system administration, including system setup, maintenance and security.
Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python for automation and process improvement.
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Grafana, ELK stack) and performance tuning.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in high-pressure environments.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work well in a team environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes trading environment.
