We are looking to recruit a Project Management Office (PMO) lead to join our India Business Unit (BU). In this project management role, you will report to our Finance Operations Director – Asia.

This is a role for an experienced PMO professional with experience in Project Controls / Project Manager looking to drive improvements in individual projects as well as overall performance of the organization. ERM is looking for a self-starter, with a "can-do" attitude, a willingness to take onus of project financials and pushing for efficiency on project delivery, and who has demonstrable business and people management skills. The role provides an opportunity to interact with people of different countries across the region.

Lead the PMO function across the Asia region and manage a team of project controllers to improve project management processes across all countries in the region. Conduct Project Risk Reviews across all countries in the Region with the aim of bringing visibility to risks and opportunities and helping where required. Highlight high risk projects and drive actions necessary to make progress in the project. Maintain a database of reviews conducted and capturing them on a PowerBi Dashboard for reporting to the leadership. Coordinate with Project teams and country leadership across the region to identify appropriate opportunities to support. Support large and / or complex projects in the Region with Project Controls functions by planning, organizing and delegating work appropriately to the team. Provide guidance to the team on developing project plans for projects and proposals, including budgeting, estimating, scheduling, risk management and change order management in conjunction with the Project Manager (PM). Continually monitor and evaluate each step of a project lifecycle starting from project set up, milestone invoicing, establishment of baselines of scope, cost and schedule expenditure on projects, monitoring project performance and closure of projects after recovering money from client. Develop Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC) for projects at various stages in discussions with Project team members. Perform Variance Analysis and identify reasons for variance and monitor variance recovery. Timely data gathering, communication and reporting of key project issues.  Highlight the progress of high-risk projects with the leadership along with corrective and preventive actions. Escalate issues to project owners and business leads as appropriate. Support Regional and Business Unit-level financial reporting and analysis.

The PMO lead will possess the following qualifications and experience: 

Bachelor's degree in engineering / accounting/ finance/ business and a relevant Master's degree is considered a plus. Minimum 10 years of experience in project controls and / or project management. Ability to lead and guide a small team of project control professionals. Advanced knowledge of project planning, tracking and control techniques, and tools such as MS Project and Primavera. Ability to read and understand client / subcontractor contracts and identify relevant information. Strong ability with Advanced Excel functions and knowledge of Excel VBA is a plus. Knowledge of Power BI to build dashboards for analysis and reporting. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills Fluent in English Exhibit a strong ability and willingness in meeting deadlines. Effective interpersonal, motivational, and influencing skills. Demonstrates initiative, assumes responsibility, and leads by example. Possesses the highest levels of integrity.
