Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience to join our QA team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust UI test automation scripts using Cypress, as well as contributing to the quality assurance of our web applications through functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automated UI test scripts using Cypress.Io.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of web-based applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Identify, document, and help resolve bugs and UI issues by analyzing logs and collaborating with developers.
  • Contribute to the CI/CD process by integrating automated tests into build pipelines.
  • Participate in code reviews and help establish best practices in test automation.
  • Provide support for API testing and integration tests as needed.
  • Stay current with emerging testing tools and technologies to continuously improve testing practices.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of overall experience in QA Automation, with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience with Cypress.
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript or TypeScript for writing test scripts.
  • Experience with testing frameworks like Mocha, Chai, Jest, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, DOM structure, and usage of browser developer tools.
  • Proficiency with Git and version control systems.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools and workflows for automated test execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug frontend issues effectively.
