Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with product management, portfolio and technology architecture leads to plan out, document and execute strategic claims management delivery roadmaps – including blueprints and reference architecturesUse a consultative, agile approach to solving problems that support business, technology and financial strategies with defined architecture principlesCollaborate with our business partners and product managers to understand / influence business requirements, capability and feature definitionDemonstrate understanding of cross - functional / cross - domain requirements, non-functional requirements and impactsStay abreast of current and emerging technologies / products / trends related to architectural solutions. Utilize those findings to influence our technology strategy and solution designFacilitate / lead / participate in identification of solution options and features and prepare related estimates for business caseCreate architecture deliverables that describe the solution that other teams can followEnsure alignment with enterprise technology standards (e.g. solution patterns, application frameworks, technology roadmaps, capital plans)Identify gaps between established standards and proposed solutions and follow the exception / waiver process as needed as part of the architecture governance modelComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do soRequired Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience7+ years of professional experience in technology disciplines, focusing on business strategy, product strategy, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, data architecture, integrations architecture, and technology architecture5+ years of architectural experience in Healthcare, primarily in the Payer and Provider space, creating capability, project, and program-level architecture solutions and implementation roadmaps3+ years of proven success in driving business technology strategies that lead to product distinction3+ years of experience managing relationships and communications with senior and executive-level business and technology leaders to influence desired outcomes without direct authority3+ years of ability to estimate the financial impact of technical architecture alternatives2+ years of experience with designing and implementing cloud architectures (Azure OR GCP) preferably azure2+ years in Agile Delivery methodsPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with Agile Product development process; SAFE Agile certifiedTOGAF certification or experience with PEAF, and/or other enterprise architecture frameworksArchitectural experience in healthcare, primarily in the Payer and Provider space, creating capability, project, and program-level architecture solutions and implementation roadmaps, including transition statesExperience in architecting solutions to migrate from on-prem to Microsoft Azure as well as Cloud-native solutionsExperience in legacy modernization from Mainframe to modern technologiesSolid understanding of data architecture, data engineering, and data science conceptsProficiency in AI/ML frameworks and toolsUp-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and methodologies, and able to apply this knowledge to drive innovationAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
