Mandatory Requirement:

  • 5+ years of experience in Alternate Investment Fund regulations
  • CS or CA
  • Minimum 4+ years of post-CS membership experience
  • Experience in dealing with foreign law firms
  • Should be equipped to do research under SEBI AIF Regulations, FEMA, regulations


Job Roles and Responsibilities:

· Will be responsible to ensure that all the activities of the fund management entity are in accordance with the provisions of regulations and various circulars and guidelines issued by the International Financial Services Centre Authority (IFSCA).

· To achieve the desired investment returns for clients by creating or ensuring implementation investment strategies, conducting market research and analysis, selecting appropriate investment vehicles, monitoring portfolio performance, and making necessary adjustments to ensure alignment with client's goal & risk tolerance.

· To develop and implement a comprehensive risk management plan that identifies and mitigates potential risks to client portfolios.

· Will be responsible to review the investor complaints received periodically and shall ensure immediate redressal of the same.

· To identify and develop new business opportunities to grow Fund’s AUM.

· Will be responsible to oversee entire fund management activities to be undertaken out of GIFT IFSC.

· Will be responsible to adhere code of conduct as specified under the IFSCA (Fund Management) Regulations, as updated from time to time.

· Collaborate with other team members, such as products managers, analysts, operations to deliver high quality services to the clients.

· Will be responsible for the compliances as per AML/CFT/KYC guidelines issued by IFSCA.

· Will be responsible for IFSCA and SEZ compliances including to facilitate inspection if any by the regulator.

· Remain up-to-date on regulatory updates

· Other responsibilities to assign at times.

· Actively participate in various seminars and community meetings

Experience & Skills:

· Possess relevant investment experience, preferably in an alternate investment asset class.

· Have strong analytical skills; be able to interpret data, identify trends, and make suggestions for improvements.

· Working Knowledge on Key Regulations for Alternate Investment Asset classes.

Qualifications:

· A professional with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in securities market or financial products including in a portfolio manager, broker dealer, investment advisor, wealth manager, research analyst or fund management, investment firm, investment banking or credit rating agency

· CS/CA/CFA qualification or post-graduate degree or post graduate diploma (minimum two years in duration) in finance, law, accountancy, business management, commerce, economics, capital market, banking, insurance or actuarial science from a university or an institution recognized by the Central Government or any State Government or a recognized foreign university or institution or association; or a certification from any organization or institution or association or stock exchange which is recognized/accredited by Authority or a regulator in India or Foreign Jurisdiction.

· May be required to undergo certification from institutions as may be specified by IFSCA. A person should be fit and proper in accordance with IFSCA guidelines.
