Position Summary

Reporting to: Coach/Manager, Kids Education Revolution

As an Associate, the role would entail effectively designing and implementing the 'India & I' Studies across schools within and beyond Teach for India. The'India & I' Studies develop key 21st-century skills, the constitutional values of Liberty, Fraternity, Justice, and Equality and encourage action towards change to build future citizens today.

Team Overview

Kids Education Revolution is a project that sits under the Innovation Cell at Teach For India. It was established in 2017 with the pursuit of reimagining education WITH children , not just within TFI's program and classrooms, but also beyond TFI to explore the possibility of scaling principles that challenge the traditional education system. KER aims to learn and spread out constantly evolving & growing understanding of an excellent education. 

The Phase 4 vision for the Kids Education Revolution is to build a movement of more than 20,000 student leaders who will reimagine education in partnership with their educators and a movement of 2 million people who will advocate and act collectively for educational equity , in partnership with other teams at Teach for India.

Responsibilities

As an Associate at Kids Education Revolution, you will

Design and execute training sessions with educators to support the implementation of India & I Studies across schools. Provide ongoing feedback, classroom observations, and hands-on support to educators implementing the Studies. Support monitoring, evaluation, and documentation efforts to assess the effectiveness and impact of the Studies. Share regular updates, engage them in key moments, and ensure alignment to help maintain strong relationships with existing partners. Design, review, and revise 'India & I' lesson plans to ensure they meet learning objectives, are age-appropriate and relevant to classroom realities. Work closely with the team to design and deliver powerful learning experiences for students and educators that explore and bring alive the 3 Principles and 8 Cs of KER.

As an Associate at Teach For India, you will 

Contribute to the team goals and priorities beyond individual goals and priorities. Serve as an ambassador of the Teach For India brand and an advocate for our work and educational equity in our country through both internal and external communication after committing time in our classrooms to understand our work more deeply. Support with key organizational areas such as Recruitment, Selection, Fundraising, Volunteering, and Movement Building.

Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations

0-3 years of professional experience in teaching/curriculum development/teacher training Strong lesson planning, content creation and facilitation skills Excellent communication (written and oral) skills Agility, creativity, and flexibility in thinking Critical thinking, problem-solving and the ability to think on your feet Strong goal orientation and ability to meet targets/deadlines Resilience and adaptability Experience having planned and executed complex projects with multiple priorities in a college or work setting Experience of having collaborated effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups Experiences of having taken initiative in the past
