As a Senior Data Quality Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in upholding the integrity and reliability of our data, a cornerstone of our mission.

They seek a highly skilled Senior Data Quality Engineer (QE) with extensive experience in testing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes within an AWS serverless cloud environment.

In this role, you will ensure our data pipelines' reliability, accuracy, and performance. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high data quality standards and driving data-driven decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- ETL Testing : Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and test plans for ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.

- Data Validation : Design and implement data validation and quality checks to ensure data's accuracy, completeness, and consistency as it flows through the pipelines.

- Regression Testing : Implement and maintain automated regression testing frameworks and scripts to validate ETL pipelines' functionality and data integrity.

- AWS Serverless Environment : Collaborate with data engineers to test ETL processes within AWS serverless cloud environments, leveraging AWS services such as AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, and AWS Redshift.

- Performance Testing : Conduct performance and scalability testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize ETL processes for efficiency.

- Data Security : Verify data security measures and encryption methods to ensure data protection and compliance with security standards.

- Bug Tracking : Document and track defects, issues, and deviations from expected results, working closely with development teams to facilitate timely resolutions.

- Regression Automation : Continuously enhance and expand the automated regression testing suite to cover new features and changes in ETL pipelines.

- Reporting : Generate test reports and metrics to communicate test results, progress, and quality trends to stakeholders.

- Test Environment Management : Collaborate with DevOps teams to maintain and configure test environments that closely mirror production.

- Documentation : Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test data, and test scripts.

- Collaboration : Collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and validate data transformations.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or Data Engineer focusing on testing ETL processes.

- Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and testing.

- Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for test automation.

- In-depth knowledge of AWS serverless technologies and services.

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks is a plus.

- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty) are beneficial.

Preferred Experience :

Previous experience in industries with strict data compliance requirements (e.g., insurance, finance).
