TEAM BACKGROUND :You will be a part of the digital commerce team at Decathlon, with a specific focus on- Category Strategy- GMV of all channels: , MP, QC via MP/ stores, etc.- P&L responsibility- Conversion- Pricing & Offers- Assortment & competition tracking- Profitability- Category Analytics- Category experience- Input Metrics- NPS
JOB DESCRIPTION :A Digital Category Leader plays a critical role by overseeing the strategic managementand optimization of product categories. This position requires a deep understanding ofconsumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape to drive revenue growthand enhance customer experience within assigned product categories. The CategoryManager collaborates with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales side,programs, category sports teams, supply chain, etc, to achieve business objectives andmaximize sales, profitability and customer experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy
● Develop and execute strategies to drive online sales growth, enhance customerexperience, and improve conversion rates. Stay updated on ecommerce industrytrends, and customer preferences to recommend innovative strategies andinitiatives.
● Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities fordifferentiation and market positioning.
Project and Performance Management
● Monitor and analyze website traffic, sales data, and customer behavior to identifytrends and opportunities for improvement.
● PNL + Business Piloting
People
● Team Recruitment and Management
● Teammate Skills and Career Development
● Delegation and Decision Making
● Performance Evaluation for Team
Stakeholder Management / Collaborations
● Proactive business planning and owning the category online business case alongwith business finance and program teams.
● Collaborate with Sales Side and Marketing Team to plan and implement effectiveonline marketing campaigns, search engine optimization (SEO), and SEMdetailing.
● Work closely with Country Sport Teams to optimize the offer and develop thecommercial policy to address customer/user needs and to develop and launchnew products and promotions.
● Work closely with the Country Customer Service Team to understand customersentiments and address customer journey grievances.
Profile
Qualifications :
Master's degree is preferred 8 - 12 Years of experience in category management (Pref. in Digital) Demonstrated expertise in category management, preferably within the D2C orecommerce sector- Proficient analytical skills, with a strong ability in data analysis and marketresearch Outstanding communication essentialOffice Location : Decathlon Anubhava, Bangalore
