Job purpose:

The role of Visual Data Analyst involves working with Janes Intara connected Defence Intelligence data and Tableau Software to produce innovative, interactive, visually-driven solutions for defence customers and supporting these offerings for the duration of their lifespan.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Solutions team to design and produce interactive tools to support national security workflows, from the Janes Interconnected Intelligence for use in our online customer portals and offline data deliveries to customers. In addition, the candidate will be expected to extract, transform and load data and to optimise performance of the dashboards and workflows that they create.

Previous experience in visual product design or visual business analytics with very strong design skills, knowledge of Tableau Software and python coding is essential, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, SQL, Postgres or similar is highly desirable.

Requirements

The necessary skills and experience for this role are:

Excellent design skills with a high attention to detail and strong visual storytelling skills. 6-7 years experience as a Visual Business Analyst or in visual product design for data. Good experience in developing interactive analytics to support other customer's data analysis activities with strong UI/UX skills. Business analytics and/or Tableau certification Good knowledge of data engineering and best practices using Python Can demonstrate innovative, dynamic and creative approach to problem-solving. A willingness to learn and grow in the role.
