Automation QA Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Take end-to-end responsibility for Sanity and Smoke suites for web and mobile automation.
  • Develop and lead the automation strategy, creating scripts to perform automated testing using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, and Appium.
  • Create and maintain automation test suites, diagnose issues, and report defects effectively.
  • Evaluate, review, and recommend test tools and frameworks for automation.
  • Ensure quality standards are met by enforcing technical and testing best practices.
  • Define and track key QA metrics to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvements.
  • Document, track, and escalate issues as needed using JIRA and Asana.
  • Provide support during production deployments and perform validation testing to ensure stability.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting automation solutions for mobile and web applications.
  • Expertise in building automation solutions using TypeScript with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, and Appium.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for quality assurance and test automation.
  • Proficient in test automation frameworks, test case design, test execution, and test scripting using TypeScript or Java.
  • Solid understanding of STLC/SDLC, testing methodologies, and industry-standard QA processes.
  • Experience in handling ambiguous situations, resolving technical issues, and delivering effective automation solutions.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab, Git, and other CI/CD tools.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA, Asana, Git, and Maven for test management and execution.
