Job Description:

  • Develop, test, and maintain IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SI) solutions.
  • Develop and troubleshoot EDI mapping (X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, IDoc, CSV) using Sterling Map Editor.
  • Create and optimize Business Processes (BPML scripts, service configurations, BP debugging).
  • Configure and manage B2B/EDI communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, VAN, MQ).
  • Work with trading partners to onboard, test, and implement EDI transactions.
  • Manage Sterling file transfer solutions, troubleshoot communication failures, and optimize performance.
  • Implement error handling, exception monitoring, and alerting mechanisms in Sterling.
  • Support Sterling upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Infrastructure, Middleware, DevOps, Support, and Business users).

Required Skills:

IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SI) / Gentran – Hands-on experience in configuration, maintenance, and development.

EDI Mapping – Experience in map development (X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, IDoc, CSV, Flat Files).

Protocols – AS2, SFTP, FTP, VAN, HTTP, HTTPS, MQ (Message Queues).

Business Process (BP) Development – BPML scripting, creation, and debugging.

Trading Partner Management – Onboarding, setting up profiles, and transaction testing.

Exception Handling & Performance Tuning – Debugging errors, troubleshooting failures, and optimizing Sterling performance.

Database Knowledge – SQL for data extraction, logging, and reporting.

Basic Scripting (Optional) – Shell scripting, Python, or Java for automation.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with IBM Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP).
  • Knowledge of MFT (Managed File Transfer) solutions.
  • Familiarity with IBM Control Center (Sterling Monitoring Tool).
  • Exposure to cloud-based EDI solutions (AWS/Azure).

Mandatory Skills:

  • Scratch Map Development for X12, EDIFACT Standards, XML etc in Sterling Integrator
    • Envelopes/Codelist Creations, Update etc
      • Business process Development/Troubleshooting knowledge
        • Jira, Scrum Activities, Coordinate with Partners, Clients and Onsite team
          • Partner Onboarding - AS2, SFTTP and VAN Communications
            • Support and Maintenance work
              • Architecture Design - Inbound and Outbound flows
