Manager SAC Reporting

You will be responsible for:

• Developing and Supporting new standardised SAC reporting stories/reports/dashboards and models in SAC that support month-end, quarter-end, year-end reporting processes for the Finance community enabling them access to pre-built standardised reports and dashboards for improved decision-making.

• Managing stakeholder requirements and ensuring that the design of our new SAC Reports and dashboards and models meets those requirements and enables best in class reporting

• Coaching SAC Analysts through the development process; from design through to build, test and deploy activities, guiding on leading design and build practices, managing your own tasks proactively and while also able to provide an example for other junior members of the team You are:

• An experienced manager of SAC Reporting design or development in a large organisation, with a strong track record of delivering efficient and effective SAC Reporting templates and models

• A commercially astute SAP advocate, comfortable working with stakeholders to translate their planning requirements into best in class SAC planning templates and models

• A technical specialist, who leverages their skills and experience to design and deliver SAP reporting capabilities that positively transform reporting design and development

• A leader who is able to develop and nuture talent to build in house SAC Reporting capability

• Designing and managing the development of SAC Reporting stories/reports/dashboards and SAC models that improve the level of reporting capability across BT Finance

• Being a vocal advocate for SAP Reporting capability development and the value-add that can be achieved from an efficient and effective system-based management Reporting approach

• Implementing best in class reporting and dashboarding development practises to deliver flexible and versatile solutions

• Managing reporting capability development projects, reporting on progress, risks and issue resolution

• Engaging with Group and Unit Finance stakeholders to ensure that new SAC developments meet their reporting capability requirements

• Working closely with the BT Technology function to ensure appropriate support for new reports/dashboards and model development projects (e.g. requirements for changes in the underlying S4 database or BW Bex queries or BW data structures)

• Making the right architectural choices / decisions for the reports and dashboards in line with best practice view

• Effectively managing stakeholder relationships across Finance and Technology to deliver SAP planning development project initiatives

• Establishing robust checking and validation processes for planning capability development with a zero-tolerance approach to technical error

• Maintaining a thorough understanding of current performance trends across BT in order to ensure planning capability developments support key commercial challenges

• Developing SAC Planning Analysts through program level coaching and review

• Strong hands-on technical skills in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), BW and AFO

• Proficiency in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) including data modelling, story building, and dashboard creation.

• Strong experience working of designing and building Analytical applications in SAC to support complex dashboards and reports required by the business

• Strong understanding of SAC connectivity options (e.g., live data connections, import data connections).

• Ability to write complex calculations and formulas within SAC to give user the best reporting and dashboarding experience aligned with the leading practice

• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

• Expert understanding of SAC reporting capability development best practice

• Ability to translate functional requirements into technical design
