Overview

The role involves closely working with product managers, engineering team and leadership to design and develop full stack investment research management systems from grounds up. As a solution architect you would design microservices, databases, workflows, front end components that will deliver ease of use and scalability. Multitenancy is an integral part of the planned solution, and it should be integral part of your design. While the application MVP shall be Web application, later we intend to introduce mobile application. You will set processes for instance management, code branching, merging and migration standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong development background in JAVA / J2EE, server-side scripting (node.js) and Microservices, a proven record of successful team leadership, and a deep understanding of technology. The Architect will play a crucial role in driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

Technical Strategy:

• Collaborating with the leadership team to define and execute the overall technical strategy aligned with business goals. Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge
• Designing and developing of RESTful APIs and Microservices using technology stack: Java node.js framework, SQL, and NoSQL databases
• Designing security layer of the solution
• Creating API documentation through Swagger and YAML

Collaboration:

• Liaising with the Product team to understand user needs, psychology & product USPs and use it to design smooth in-app user experiences
• Working with engineering team including external vendor and oversee the corporate goals form product engineering are met
• Reviewing requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback and documentation using Swagger and YAML or similar tools desirable
• Driving a culture of technical excellence, quality, and best practices within the engineering team and providing technical guidance and support to resolve complex technical challenges
• Overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects within constraints
• Leading the development of front-end (Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript) and back-end (java node.js, SQL, AWS, or similar other cloud,) components, ensuring adherence to best practices
• Participating and contributing to business and product discussions
• Front-end development of responsive UI solutions following good coding practices, including creation/correction of CSS, and transforming mock-ups into semantic HTML and development of innovative solutions for different platforms as well as integration with DBs or other server-side logic

Prerequisites

• Deep technical knowledge in Software Product Engineering using Java/J2EE, multithreading, data structures, collections, OOPS, synchronization, full stack, NoSQL DB, Cassandra, and experience in building SaaS application on cloud
• Experience building E2E Application right from backend database to persistent layer
• Experience in developing Enterprise Software using Agile Methodology and good understanding of Kafka, Redis, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Solr, elastic search, etc.

Experience

10+ years of experience in all aspects of full stack development and mastery over modern application architecture (multitenancy, microservices etc.)

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from a premier institute (IIT preferred)
