Vice President – Financial Controller - NBFC 📍 Location: New Delhi | 👤 Reports to: CFO – NBFCOur client, a dynamic young company, reshaping India’s credit markets, is hiring a Financial Controller at VP level to lead the NBFC vertical. This is a strategic leadership role with board-level visibility, blending financial expertise, regulatory depth, and technology-driven transformation.About the RoleAs Financial Controller, you will take ownership of financial management, reporting, taxation, compliance, risk, and digital innovation for the NBFC business. You’ll partner with senior leadership to shape financial strategy, strengthen governance, and drive efficiency through technology.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee financial reporting (Ind AS/IFRS, RBI compliance) and manage month/quarter/year-end cyclesLead statutory filings, audits, GST, and regulatory returnsDrive budgeting, forecasting, capital adequacy planning, and board-level insightsDevelop and implement tax strategy across direct/indirect taxes; liaise with authorities and consultantsBuild and enforce internal controls, risk frameworks, and fraud-prevention mechanismsSpearhead finance digital transformation: ERP, automation, reconciliation, process re-engineeringLead, mentor, and grow a strong finance team while collaborating cross-functionally with Ops, Tech, Risk & AuditQualifications & ExperienceChartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory14–18 years in finance and accounting, with at least 8 years in NBFCProven expertise in RBI regulations, compliance, and capital managementStrong background in ERP/financial systems and automation projectsDemonstrated leadership with ability to drive change in structured environmentsPreferred SkillsStrategic thinker with operational disciplineStrong analytical and problem-solving abilityExcellent communication and stakeholder managementCapacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
