We are looking for a skilled

Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Bangalore, KA, IndiaExperience Required: 2+ years in mechanical design or a related field

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical systems for tribology test equipment, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and manufacturability.Use SolidWorks to create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings for mechanical components and systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, and instrumentation engineers) to integrate mechanical designs into full systems.Conduct design analysis, including stress, thermal, and fatigue analysis, to ensure mechanical integrity and performance.Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and product performance.Participate in prototype testing and validation, troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues as they arise.Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, CAD models, and bill of materials (BOM).Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality control procedures, and safety regulations in all mechanical designs.Provide technical support during the assembly and integration phases of projects.

Job Requirements:

Experience : Minimum 2 years in mechanical design, machine design, or a related field.Skills :Proficiency in

SolidWorks

for 3D modeling, CAD design, and technical drawings.Strong experience in

machine design , including the design of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.Solid understanding of materials, mechanical properties, and manufacturing processes.Knowledge of

GD&T

(Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) for design and drawing specifications.Experience with material selection for mechanical components, considering factors like strength, wear resistance, and cost.Knowledge of design analysis tools for stress, thermal, and fatigue evaluations.Experience with prototyping, testing, and product validation.Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Problem-Solving:

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for troubleshooting and improving mechanical systems.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

Familiarity with machine shop processes and manufacturing techniques.Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in mechanical design and manufacturing.
