Role Description
We seek a highly motivated and experienced PL/SQL Developer with 4-6 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team. As a PL/SQL Developer, you will be a key contributor to our software development projects, focusing on database development, optimization, and integration.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, and implementing database objects including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers using PL/SQL.
- Analyzing and optimizing SQL queries and PL/SQL code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Designing, developing, and implementing ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse or other target systems.
- Developing and implementing database triggers to enforce business rules, maintain data integrity, and automate database operations.
- Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented PL/SQL code following industry best practices and coding standards.
- Analyzing data requirements, designing database schemas, and developing data models to support application development.
- Identifying and resolving database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and errors.
- Working closely with application developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation for database designs, code, and processes.
- Participating in unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of database components.
- Staying updated on the latest database technologies, tools, and best practices.
- Utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex database challenges.
Qualifications
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in PL/SQL development.
- Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
- Solid understanding of relational database concepts and principles.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing database triggers.
- Experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools.
- Familiarity with database design and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
- Knowledge of database administration tasks is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
