About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Solution Architect to guide transition to S/4HANA using Grow with SAP cloud solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP modules, migration strategies, and post-implementation support, ensuring minimal downtime and business continuity throughout the upgrade.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning & Management: You will own the overall project plan, timeline, and deliverables. You will conduct the kickoff, define the scope, and create a phase-wise execution plan. You will also manage the project resources, budget, and schedule, ensuring the 4-6 month timeline stays on track.
  2. Cross-Module Solution Design: Act as the solution architect, designing end-to-end business processes that span FICO, TRM, MBC, and DRC. Ensure all modules integrate seamlessly and meet business requirements. This role oversees all aspects of the SAP implementation, making sure Finance and Treasury processes (e.g. payment workflows, cash management, financial reporting) are integrated and optimized across modules.
  3. Integration Oversight: Coordinate the high-level design of integrations with external systems (Databricks for analytics, Concur for T&E, e-invoicing provider for compliance). Work closely with the Integration Specialist to align on interface design, data flows, and use of SAP standard integration tools/APIs. Ensure cross-system processes (like expense reimbursements from Concur into SAP, or data exports to Databricks) are accounted for in the solution architecture.
  4. Team Leadership & Coordination: The team lead provides leadership and daily direction to the project team. They facilitate communication among functional consultants (FICO, TRM) and technical members and bridge any knowledge gaps by ensuring that each consultant understands how their piece fits into the overall solution. The Team Lead acts as the primary point of contact with stakeholders, handling status reporting, issue escalation, and steering committee updates as needed. They also enforce project governance practices (e.g., weekly status meetings, risk/issue tracking) for accountability.


Requirements
  1. SAP S/4HANA Expertise (Finance focus): 6–12+ years of SAP experience, ideally as a principal consultant or solution architect on S/4HANA projects. Deep understanding of Finance processes (Record-to-Report) and familiarity with Treasury processes. Able to translate business requirements into an integrated SAP solution design.
  2. Cross-Module Knowledge: Proven cross-functional SAP knowledge – able to connect how FICO interacts with TRM (e.g. how treasury cash operations impact finance ledgers) and how add-ons like MBC and DRC plug into these modules. This person often has broad knowledge across modules and deep expertise in one area. Such cross-module expertise is crucial to drive a cohesive solution and provide strategic guidance
  3. Project Management & Leadership: Experience leading SAP implementations (preferably projects delivered in ~6 months). Strong skills in project planning, agile/SAP Activate methodology, and stakeholder management. Able to manage remote teams effectively, schedule occasional on-site sessions, and keep everyone aligned. Excellent communication is a must for coordinating between business users, functional consultants, and technical teams.
  4. Integration & Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of SAP integration technologies (IDocs, BAPIs, SAP Cloud Integration/BTP). While not expected to code, the lead should grasp how Databricks, Concur, etc., integrate with SAP and guide the team to use modern integration approaches (e.g. whitelisted APIs, standard connectors). This ensures decisions align with a "clean core" strategy (minimizing custom code).
  5. Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Able to anticipate cross-module issues and quickly devise solutions. For example, if a change in a finance process impacts treasury or an external interface, the lead coordinates a resolution that works for all. Given the remote setup and tight timeline, a proactive and solution-oriented mindset is critical.
