Appian Architect

Appian Architect - Remote - Contract - 6 months, extendable - Pharma

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Appian Architect with deep hands-on expertise in Appian to lead the design, development, and delivery of Appian-based enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, be able to provide architectural leadership, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of Appian applications, considering integrations with other systems and enterprise architecture principles.
• Provide hands-on development expertise; must be capable of picking up development tasks as needed.
• Guide and mentor Appian developers and leads on both architecture and implementation best practices.
• Review and validate technical stories and deliverables for architectural compliance and performance optimization.
• Resolve technical issues and developer queries promptly.
• Stay current with the latest Appian features, capabilities, and roadmap to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Appian solutions.
• Ensure quality and timely delivery through agile processes and CI/CD pipeline deployments.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong Appian development and architecture experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in core Appian components: Records, Interfaces, Process Models, Web APIs, Integrations, and Smart Services.
• Strong understanding of Appian's architecture, security model, and integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and deployment pipelines (CI/CD) in the context of Appian.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in agile teams.

Good to have:

• Appian Level 2 (Required) or Level 3 (Preferred) certification
• 3+ years in Appian application architecture and design
• Integration experience with other internal and external systems
