Seeking a Performance Test Engineer with a combination of technical expertise, analytical skills, and effective communication abilities. Candidate should have a hands-on performance testing experience
(5+ years) with large-scale on-premises and cloud-native applications, REST API and web services. A
performance test engineer must be adept at using various performance testing tools, understand
complex systems, and work collaboratively within cross-functional teams. The candidate will be play
an active role in the development and maintenance of performance test frameworks in addition to the
execution of performance test plans.

Day to Day Responsibilities :

1. Develop and implement comprehensive performance testing strategies.

2. Define performance testing goals, objectives, and criteria for success.

3. Plan and design performance test scenarios and test cases.

4. Configure and manage test environments, ensuring they closely resemble production environments.

5. Work with IT and DevOps teams to set up necessary hardware, software, and network configurations.

6. Execute performance tests including load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.

7. Use performance testing tools such as JMeter, Neoload, or others to simulate user load and gather performance data.

8. Monitor system performance during tests, capturing key metrics such as response time, throughput, and resource utilization.

9. Analyze test results to identify performance bottlenecks, failures, and other issues.

10. Diagnose and troubleshoot performance issues, collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to resolve them independently.

11. Recommend and implement performance optimizations and improvements.

12. Prepare detailed test reports that summarize findings, insights, and recommendations.

13. Document test plans, test cases, and test results for future reference.

14. Communicate performance testing results and insights to stakeholders including developers, project managers, and business analysts.

15. Provide actionable recommendations to improve application performance based on test findings.

16. Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in performance testing.

17. Implement continuous performance testing practices within the CI/CD pipeline.

18. Mentor junior performance testers and other team members.

19. Lead performance testing initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines.

Technical Skill Set

1. 5+ years of experience in performance testing using JMeter, Neoload.

2. Understanding of web technologies including HTTP/HTTPS protocols, RESTful APIs, SOAP.

3. Familiarity with web development frameworks and tools (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
