This position is to profitably grow & manage specialty lines portfolio of company such as Surety Bond

Insurance, Trade Credit Insurance and the like. Apart from the core activity of underwriting this position

involves effective & efficient process development for underwriting & document issuance. This position is

also responsible for ensuring that business from respective products is done in compliance with guidelines

of regulator, other government agencies & guidelines set by board of company.

Main Responsibility

1. Business growth – Assist all stake holder in growth of business.

2. Profitability – Underwriting practices which are developed &; followed must lead to underwriting

profit.

3. Portfolio management - Review & analysis of portfolio in terms of both top & bottom line.

4. Compliance – To ensure that all regulatory, underwriting & other applicable government guidelines

are followed.

5. Team development – To identify areas of improvement of team-mates & provide them resources

required for improvement.

Qualification and Experience Requirement

Education : Post-graduation in any stream & Fellowship or Associateship from Insurance

Institute of India. It is preferable that the candidate has under graduation in

finance stream and / or has qualified as a chartered accountant / CFA.

Experience : Minimum 10 years in commercial lines underwriting & at least 2 years

handling Surety Bond Insurance
