Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Shopify Hydrogen Developer to lead the development of fast, scalable, and customizable eCommerce storefronts using Shopify's Hydrogen framework. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Shopify's ecosystem, headless commerce architecture, and a deep understanding of React-based frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain custom storefronts using Shopify Hydrogen and Oxygen.

Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and backend services with the storefront.

Lead the headless commerce architecture and ensure high performance, SEO, and accessibility compliance.

Work closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and other stakeholders.

Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.

Implement Shopify Storefront API, GraphQL queries, and custom Shopify apps as needed.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to functionality, performance, and integration.

Stay current with Hydrogen updates, React advancements, and eCommerce trends.

Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews and architecture decisions.

Required Skills and Experience:

5+ years of professional experience in Shopify development.

2+ years of hands-on experience with Shopify Hydrogen (React-based).

Strong proficiency in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.

Deep understanding of Shopify Storefront API, GraphQL, and REST APIs.

Experience with Headless CMSs (e.g., Contentful, Sanity, Strapi).

Proficiency in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.

Strong knowledge of eCommerce best practices, SEO, and performance optimization.

Experience deploying apps on Shopify Oxygen or Vercel/Netlify.

Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Shopify Plus and internationalization (i18n).

Familiarity with TailwindCSS, Next.js (for comparison), or GraphCMS.

Understanding of PWA concepts and performance budgets.

Knowledge of analytics and tracking tools (e.g., GA4, Tag Manager, Hotjar).
