Shift timing : 06:30 PM to 03:30 AMJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Coder – HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HCC coding, with at least 3 years of relevant experience, and must be comfortable working night shifts. The role involves reviewing medical records and assigning accurate diagnosis codes to ensure compliance with CMS risk adjustment guidelines.Key Responsibilities:Review and analyze medical records to assign accurate HCC/ICD-10-CM diagnosis codesEnsure coding is in compliance with all CMS and organizational guidelinesAbstract and validate patient data to capture all applicable chronic conditionsCollaborate with providers and documentation specialists to clarify diagnosesMeet coding productivity and quality benchmarksStay updated on industry regulations, payer policies, and coding changesMaintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulationsRequired Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of experience in HCC codingCertification from AAPC or AHIMA (e.G., CPC, CRC, CCS, CCS-P)Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines and risk adjustment modelsProficient in using EMR/EHR systems and coding toolsExcellent analytical and communication skillsAbility to work independently with high accuracyWillingness to work night shifts is mandatoryPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Medicare Advantage Plans and Risk Adjustment ProgramsFamiliarity with RADV audits and suspect conditions validationPrior experience in remote coding environmentsBenefits:Competitive salary & shift allowancesHealth insurance and other benefitsOpportunities for career growth and upskillingSupportive work environment
