Job Overview:

The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable IT infrastructure. This role involves working closely with cybersecurity teams to protect network, server, and cloud environments from potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

  • Design and implement secure IT infrastructure solutions, including networks, servers, and cloud environments.
  • Ensure infrastructure scalability, reliability, and security.

Security Integration:

  • Integrate advanced security measures into IT infrastructure.
  • Implement firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and encryption protocols.

Monitoring and Maintenance:

  • Monitor infrastructure performance and security.
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure system integrity.

Incident Response:

  • Respond to and resolve security incidents and breaches.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate infrastructure-related risks.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cybersecurity, IT, and network teams to ensure cohesive security measures.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop automation scripts to streamline infrastructure management tasks.
  • Utilize tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or PowerShell for automation.

Compliance and Auditing:

  • Ensure infrastructure complies with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and security measures.
  • Prepare detailed reports on infrastructure performance and security status.

Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to staff on infrastructure security best practices.
  • Ensure all users understand their roles in maintaining infrastructure security.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer, with a focus on cybersecurity.
  • Strong background in managing and securing IT infrastructure.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency with network, server, and cloud technologies.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Certifications:
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent are preferred.
