The Director - Government Advisory plays a key role in expanding the organizations presence in the public sector.

  • This position is essential for identifying new opportunities in government consulting, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring smooth navigation through complex regulations.
  • With a strategic focus on growth and partnerships, the Director will lead efforts to secure government contracts, develop advisory solutions, and establish the organization as a trusted partner for public sector entities.
  • By leveraging deep expertise in government processes and policies, the Director will create and implement strategies that enhance the companys standing while ensuring compliance and advocating for regulatory improvements.
  • Success in this role requires strong leadership, a proven track record in government consulting sales, and the ability to manage large-scale projects that influence both revenue and policy.
  • The ideal candidate will excel in forging strategic alliances, securing funding, and executing high-impact government initiatives that align with business and regulatory goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategies to expand the organizations reach in government consulting.
  • Identify and win new contracts, funding sources, and long-term partnerships with government agencies.
  • Develop and implement government engagement strategies that support organizational growth.
  • Provide expert insights on policy changes, regulatory trends, and emerging opportunities.
  • Oversee teams responsible for delivering high-impact advisory projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments and suggest strategies to ensure compliance and long-term success.
  • Advise senior leadership on public sector engagement and revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Represent the organization at government forums, public hearings, and advisory boards.
  • Monitor and analyze legislation to identify opportunities for expansion and policy advocacy.
  • Collaborate with external partners, industry bodies, and government agencies on joint initiatives.
  • Develop training programs to enhance staff knowledge of government operations and business acquisition.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance while advocating for policies that benefit the industry.
  • Mentor junior advisors and support their professional growth in government consulting.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in government consulting, client acquisition, and public sector advisory.
  • Proven track record in winning and managing government contracts and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement, funding structures, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in designing and executing growth-oriented strategies in the public sector.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to drive organizational expansion.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating high-value agreements and influencing policy decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in proposal writing and advocacy.
  • Expertise in market research, policy evaluation, and public sector engagement techniques.
  • Sound financial knowledge, including public finance, budgeting, and funding allocation.
  • Experience in crisis management, risk mitigation, and strategic problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and transparency in government relations.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for stakeholder engagement and business growth.
