It connects retail brands with shoppers by delivering personalized, digitally native, and shopper-centric advertising experiences across both in-store and online channel The platform leverages Albertsons' extensive first-party data and technology to help brands target and engage loyal shoppers and loyalty program members

Albertsons Media Collective offers omnichannel advertising solutions, including native display, sponsored products, email, search, and app placements, as well as innovative offerings like Collective TV—a solution for planning, executing, and measuring video ad campaigns across streaming, digital video, and soon linear TV. About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Architect to join our Media Collective team. This role is ideal for a full-stack technologist who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about building scalable, high-performance systems that power next-generation media experiences.

As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of complex software systems across the stack. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver innovative solutions that drive our media platform forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and implement scalable full-stack solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript.
• Design and maintain robust microservices architectures that support modular, scalable, and resilient systems.
• Lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers across the team.
• Drive best practices in software engineering, including code quality, testing, and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-impact features.
• Optimize performance to achieve low latency and high scalability of both backend services and frontend applications.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to design efficient data models and queries.
• Leverage AI Assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity and support rapid prototyping and development.
• Drive technology partner integrations
• Experiment with Gen AI models to analyse the performance and fine-tuning techniques.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on full-stack development.
• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot for backend development.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, or backend services.
• Strong frontend development skills using ReactJS and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of relational (e.G., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.G., MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
• Proven experience designing and building distributed systems and RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of distributed caching like Redis, to drive low latency performance
• Solid experience with microservices architecture and containerized deployments.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
• Familiarity with GenAI, Large Language Models(LLMs) such as LLaMA 3, OpenAI's GPT series, Azure Foundry etc..

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in building advertising technologies and media network platforms
• Understanding of full text search capabilities using like Solr, Elastic Search.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot.
• Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs.
