Senior Staff R & D Engineer

As a senior member of the R&D team responsible for developing next generation Platform Architect tool, you will focus on designing and exploring SoC Architecture, Analysis and Optimization for Performance and Power.

The tool provides an integrated graphical environment and is developed in an Object-Oriented way with C++ and GUI frontend as Qt. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Development and improvement of features, flows and solutions for complex problems to enhance product value.
  • Driving initiatives within the group and serving as a leader and owner of specific projects.
  • Specifying, designing, implementing and testing software in a large and complex development environment.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, implement and deliver solutions.
  • Executing software development projects with high quality, taking ownership of design, development, troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Creating reliable project plans and effort estimates with minimal direction from manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electronics, or equivalent.
  • Exceptional educational background.
  • At least 8 years of experience in enterprise software development.
  • Hands-on experience in C/C++ based Object Oriented large and complex software development.
  • Strong background in Design Patterns, Data Structure, Algorithms and programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with software engineering and development processes.
  • Proficiency in developer tools such as gdb/ddd, Valgrind, Quantify, Visual Studio and Eclipse.
  • Experience with source code control tools like Perforce, Clearmake, CVS or Git.
  • Working knowledge of Linux platform.
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience in EDA domain.
  • Background in User Interface development.
  • Knowledge of Qt UI development toolkit.
  • Experience with Tcl, Python, Shell scripting and/or Vim.
  • Familiarity with Windows platform.
  • Masters degree in Computer Science or related field.
