Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer with approximately 3 years of experience in backend testing and API automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in validating RESTful APIs, writing automation test scripts, and contributing to reliable and scalable CI/CD testing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

           
•         Design, develop, and execute automated test cases for backend services and APIs.

           
•         Validate RESTful API responses, performance, and error handling.

           
•         Use tools like Postman, RestAssured, Swagger, or similar for manual and automated testing.

           
•         Write and maintain test scripts using Java, Python, or other scripting languages.

           
•         Collaborate closely with backend developers and DevOps engineers to understand system architecture and integrations.

           
•         Integrate automated test cases into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).

           
•         Participate in debugging sessions and assist in root cause analysis of issues.

           
•         Maintain clear documentation for test scenarios, coverage reports, and defects.

           
•         Ensure test environments are set up and configured for backend validation.

Required Skills:

           
•         Strong knowledge of RESTful API principles and HTTP protocols.

           
•         Hands-on experience with tools such as Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI, or equivalent.

           
•         Proficient in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).

           
•         Experience in integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

           
•         Familiarity with JSON, XML, and database querying (e.g., SQL).

           
•         Good understanding of software development and testing life cycles.

Preferred Skills:

           
•         Experience with API mocking tools or service virtualization.

           
•         Knowledge of performance testing tools.

           
•         Exposure to containerized environments (Docker) and cloud services.
