Role: Sr. Platform Engineer / Sr. Data Engineer (Scala or Python with AWS, SQL and Terraform)

Location: Hyderabad/ Remote/ Hybrid

Experience : 5+ years / 10+ years

Job Description:

- Strong background in Scala, or Python Programming Language.

- Build APIs and develop complex data engineering pipelines using Apache Spark and Kafka

Streams.

- Build the framework for a cohesive foundational platform that will drive several intelligence and business reports.

- Write unit tests that exercise all major logic components of the code.

- Work directly with stakeholders to understand features, do technical assessments, design, code, test, and ship to production.

- Design and build production data pipelines from ingestion to consumption within a big data architecture, using Java, Python, and Scala.

- Analyze, re-architect, and re-platform on-premise data warehouses to data platforms on AWS cloud using AWS or 3rd party services.

- Design and implement data engineering, ingestion, and curation functions on AWS cloud using AWS native or custom programming.

- Perform detailed assessments of current state data platforms and create an appropriate transition path to the AWS cloud.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience developing production software in Java, Scala, Python, or similar languages

3+ years of hands-on experience building custom ETL with a focus on design, data modeling, implementation, and maintenance

3+ years of experience with AWS EMR, Redshift, and Apache Spark

Experience working with AWS Step functions, AWS Glue, or similar technologies
