Designation Manager– Technology Policy & Innovation Location New Delhi, India LOE 80% time in client-based assignments 20% time in MSC office Summary of the role: The Manager is expected to lead the delivery of different client engagements of MSC. The Manager will work at the intersection of technology, public policy, innovation, and social development. The Manager will work closely with the government and private sector stakeholders in India and outside on different facets of technology policy that may include digital public infrastructure (digital ID, data exchange systems), regulatory sandboxes, digital public goods (DPGs), artificial intelligence, etc. The Manager may also work on HealthTech, AgTech, and FinTech capabilities. Detailed Responsibilities Business Execution Lead the delivery of consulting engagements on technology policy and innovation, especially on digital public infrastructure (DPI) and Artificial intelligence (AI) in India and outside. This may include – Understanding the problem and key requirements, conducting in-depth issue analysis, framing the practical recommendations, and presenting the same to the client and relevant stakeholders Providing hand-holding support on the implementation of technology policy and innovation initiatives such as setting up and running of Innovation Labs, Hackathons, etc. by clients and other stakeholders Conducting day-to-day stakeholder management, client handling, and project management Manage the team of Analysts and Associates as required for engagement delivery Develop high-quality notes, presentations, and reports as required in the different consulting engagements Attend the client and official meetings in India and outside Represent CRT and MSC at different workshops, conferences, and events in India and outside Business Development Develop high-quality pitch decks, concept notes, and proposals to be submitted to potential clients and other stakeholders Contribute effectively to the thought leadership that may include writing analytical policy briefs, op-eds, reports, and other thematic publications Plan and lead the digital campaigns on different focus areas of the MSC Professional Development Take relevant courses and training to develop/ deepen expertise and enhance skill-set on digital public infrastructure, artificial intelligence, innovation, sandbox, etc. Proactively contribute to team-building and capacity-building of Analysts and Associates Qualifications and Competencies: Academic/ professional qualifications: Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science / Information Systems/ Electronics and Communication (Preferred) Master’s in Business Administration, Public Policy, Law (Preferred) Other relevant professional qualifications in technology policy and innovation Experience: 8-12 years of experience working in the area of technology policy, management consulting, and innovation Have experience working with a consulting firm or think-tank working at the intersection of technology and public policy or institutions working on digital governance A good understanding of digital public infrastructure and artificial intelligence is preferred Key attributes: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities Ability to lead assignments and teams and work with minimal supervision Ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders Proficient in word, excel, and PowerPoint
