Role Overview:
The Senior Manager, Engineering will lead a dynamic team focused on architecting and delivering CRM solutions while driving innovation in the digital marketing domain. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise, architectural vision, and leadership acumen to ensure alignment with business objectives and technological excellence.

We are seeking a visionary leader with 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in CRM platforms, ETL processes, Data warehouse, and DataMart, along with a deep understanding of digital marketing technologies.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading large technical teams, designing scalable solutions using industry best practices, and implementing emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities.

As a client-facing technical expert, this role will involve providing guidance and consultancy throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, the Senior Manager will foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the technical competency team, driving both individual and organizational growth.

Responsibilities
Technical Leadership and Architecture
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-availability CRM architectures leveraging
    AWS services,
    Databricks, and modern data lake house principles.
  • Lead the development and execution of
    microservices-based architectures,
    serverless solutions, and
    event-driven frameworks for CRM and data management.
  • Define and enforce best practices for
    ETL processes, enabling efficient extraction, transformation, and loading of data across various systems.
  • Architect and optimize
    data warehouses and data marts to support advanced analytics, business intelligence, and reporting requirements.
  • Define and enforce
    security architectures aligned with industry best practices, including data encryption, tokenization, and IAM policies.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies (AI/ML, predictive analytics, CDPs) and recommend their integration into the CRM ecosystem.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, including access control, auditing, and monitoring for sensitive customer data.
Strategic Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals, ensuring seamless integration of CRM and digital marketing tools.
  • Work directly with clients to translate their business needs into actionable technical requirements, guiding them through the entire project lifecycle.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for large-scale CRM projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry trends.
  • Mentor cross-functional teams in best practices for
    data engineering,
    architectural design, and
    cloud deployment.
Delivery and Operational Excellence:
  • Define and enforce coding standards, CI/CD practices, and testing frameworks to ensure high-quality, consistent project delivery.
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful project completion.
  • Streamline processes and automate workflows to optimize release management, system monitoring, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Lead adoption of cutting-edge technologies in
    AI/ML,
    predictive analytics, and
    real-time processing for CRM innovations.
Team Leadership and Innovation
  • Lead and mentor high-performing engineering teams, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Set clear objectives and KPIs for teams, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Encourage innovation and framework-driven development to enhance organizational capabilities.
CRM and Digital Marketing Expertise
  • Architect and deliver integrated CRM and digital marketing solutions, focusing on tools like CDPs and loyalty systems to optimize customer engagement.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and drive measurable business results.
  • Act as a trusted technical consultant, providing guidance throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful implementation and client satisfaction.
  • Enable CRM systems to integrate with
    digital marketing platforms such as Salesforce, Adobe Experience Cloud, and Customer Data Platforms (CDP).
Qualifications
Educational Background
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA in Technology Management is preferred.
Experience
  • 15+ years of experience in technology roles, with at least 5+ years in leadership or managerial positions.
  • Extensive experience in CRM system development, integration, and management in enterprise environments.
  • Proven expertise in cloud platforms, specifically AWS, and big data technologies such as Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.
Technical Skills
  • Strong proficiency in
    Python,
    SQL, and
    Scala for data engineering and big data applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of
    AWS services, including Redshift, Glue, S3, Lambda, IAM, Step Functions, and CloudFormation.
  • Hands-on experience in
    data pipeline development using tools like Kafka, Kinesis, or Apache Airflow.
  • Demonstrated ability in designing and implementing scalable
    microservices and
    event-driven architectures.
  • Expertise in
    data modelling techniques, including dimensional modelling, star/snowflake schemas, and data Lakehouse architectures.
  • Proficiency in
    Tableau,
    Power BI, and
    AWS QuickSight for data visualization and reporting.
Architectural and Leadership Skills
  • Strong architectural skills in cloud-native, serverless, and data lakehouse solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver large-scale, high-performance systems in a multi-cloud or hybrid environment.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and mentoring engineers on best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Proven ability to align technical initiatives with strategic business goals and deliver measurable impact.
