Responsible for working with MMC Area Engineers for assigned lifting Jobs that require for carrying out preparation, execution, and re-commissioning works in accordance with HSE, Quality, and Duration.

Roles:

Supervise riggers and the crew under him for assigned rigging jobs to ensure smooth execution of turnaround works.

To be the main focal person at site for critical rigging jobs report Area Engineer and respective Mechanical coordinator.

Identifies and communicates the risks inherent in the activity, along with corresponding controls. Carryout the site visit to the location whenever any critical lifting activities are planned and shall make a detailed survey of the lifting requirements and submit report for Client approval Assists and determines the proper rigging study for critical lift.

Familiar with heavy lifting plans and procedures and works with close coordination with MMC Rigging Engineer and, MMC area Engineer and OQ Mechanical coordinator.

All lifting/rigging shall be done as per the OQ Lifting Standard

Periodically update and renew all Lifting Machinery and Equipment, shall maintain third party certificate approved by OQ QA/HSE department.

For all Critical Lift, Rigging Study, together with a JSA and Method Statement shall be submitted for approval OQ TA/HSE Department.

Records of all lifting machinery and equipment shall be maintained and submitted to OQ.

Assists with the set-up of crane for the critical lift.

Conducts basic loading of heavy lift projects by rigging the crane equipment and ensuring the proper use of each equipment method

Ability to optimize resources (manpower, equipment and materials) to ensure efficient and timely completion of the project.

Ability to read, interpret and follow procedures. Competent in reading and understanding specifications, drawings, and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation.

Specifies locations for movement of machinery using knowledge of various methods of sliding and lifting equipment.

Familiar with and enforces strict compliance with all Safety procedures, including all Company rules and regulations

The rigging engineer shall be responsible for all the maintenance and repair of Equipment

Knowledge of general Computer programs like MS Word, Excel etc. is a must for day to day working. Preparation of Inspection report, E-mail communications etc.

Maintain confidentiality of job-related data and documents as per the requirements & procedures.

Undertake additional specific inspection / execution related duties/ special tasks as directed by Functional Supervisor.

Safety training and certification is preferred.

Should be very good in English communication skills and computer operating skill(MS office).

Bachelors degree/Diploma in engineering with 10-15 years experience in Turnaround maintenance in Refinery/petrochemical industry.

Safety: Safety Training and complete awareness of safety requirement in oil and gas industry.
