Job Description

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will be responsible for the design and governance of innovative solutions that meet or exceed our Client's needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define high-quality architectural designs and strategies, ensuring they meet the functional and non-functional requirements.

As a senior architect, you will be expected to contribute to the wider UK Technology and Architecture strategy, ensuring innovation and market leadership is at the heart of what we do. 

Lead the architectural design and governance of complex business solutions, ensuring alignment with the overarching business and technology strategies Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs Respectfully challenge our Product and Engineering teams to ensure clarity and quality is paramount at all times Work closely with the Engineering teams to validate, optimise and adapt the architectural solutions based on the delivery feedback Attend relevant agile ceremonies to provide architectural input and understand delivery changes as they happen Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including solution blueprints, patterns, conceptual, logical and physical solution diagrams, and technical specifications Drive continuous improvement and innovation in the solution design and delivery process Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends and best practices To mentor and develop the architecture team itself, and support our partners in the delivery of excellent products through optimal processes Creation of blueprints and patterns for reuse across the enterprise Identification of opportunities for improvements to Experian global tech direction and advocate effectively for change Strong cost management skills, producing cost projections and cost optimisation plans for both strategic and legacy products

What would success in the role look like?

Recognition as the technology SME for one or more programmes of work within the Consumer Verifications domain Strategic (business and technical) alignment of delivered solutions Successful delivery of one or more strategic programmes or initiatives, supporting the on-time and to-budget aspects Creation of architecture vision and multi-year transformation plan aligned with business unit goals and priorities (for one BU or Domain)

Qualifications

A highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong technical background and significant experience in solution architecture. 

A hands-on technologist A continuous learning and growth attitude An innovation mindset; looking for opportunities to improve, optimise and automate Batchelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with at least 5 years experience in designing and implementing complex enterprise solutions Strong knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS preferred) Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, reliable and cost-effective solutions using cloud technologies (AWS preferred) Strong understanding of DB technologies; relational, no-sql, graph, vector Solid understanding of security, compliance and data controls and compliance Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders Knowledge of Architectural Frameworks, e.g. TOGAF, Zachman Experience in Agile delivery methodology – ideally SAFe (Scaled Agile) Experience in financial services is advantageous Experience of cloud-first, serverless solution design is advantageous (Lambda, Step Function, Glue, Event Bridge, S3, RDS, EKS etc.. – or other cloud vendor equivalents)

Experience of CICD best practice is advantageous
