Job Opportunity: Electrical Design Engineer – Motors (Assistant Manager/Manager)📍 Location: Pune📊 Business Unit: EV Powertrain🔬 Function: R&D – EV Powertrain👤 Reporting To: Sr. ManagerWe are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer – Motors with 7–10 years of expertise in the electric motor industry. The role involves design and electromagnetic analysis of motors using tools like Ansys Motor CAD, Maxwell, and Speed software, along with responsibilities in testing, validation, benchmarking, and prototype development. You will lead the design and development of PMSM, BLDC, SRM, Induction, and PMDC motors for EV and special applications, including thermal analysis and cooling methods.🔑 Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical design of motors & electromagnetic analysis using FE tools.Develop methods to improve electric machines through advanced materials and design algorithms.Stay updated on global technology trends, regulations, and implement new innovations.Testing and validation of motors as per industry standards.Benchmarking for performance, quality, cost, and weight optimization.Solve complex electrical design problems and guide prototype building & motor winding.Collaborate with vehicle integration teams, customers, and vendors.🎓 Qualifications & CompetenciesDegree in Electrical Engineering.7–10 years of design experience in the electric motor industry.Strong knowledge of EV drivetrains and electrical machine design.Hands-on experience with FE tools (Ansys Motor CAD, Maxwell 2D/3D, Speed).Expertise in PMSM, BLDC, SRM & Induction Motors for 2W/3W EV applications.Knowledge of winding techniques, magnetic materials, motor assembly, and control strategies.Familiarity with NEMA & IEC standards for 1Ph & 3Ph motors.Passion for electric machines, drivetrains, and e-mobility.Flexibility to travel as per business needs.
