About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) Consultant to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, configuring, and integrating SAP TM solutions to optimize transportation processes, ensure smooth execution of freight operations, and align with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and customize SAP TM to support transportation planning, execution, and freight settlement.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Integrate SAP TM with SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM, and third-party systems (carriers, logistics service providers).
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure seamless data flow across supply chain systems.
  • Support end-to-end project activities including blueprinting, implementation, testing, and go-live.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the SAP TM environment to ensure operational continuity.
  • Prepare user documentation and conduct training sessions for end-users.
  • Use project management tools (Jira, SAP Solution Manager, etc.) to track tasks, issues, and deliverables.

Must-Have Skills

  • Proven experience in SAP TM configuration and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of transportation processes (planning, execution, freight costing).
  • Experience with application design and development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Hands-on experience in integration of transportation management systems with ERP/WMS.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and convert them into actionable system solutions.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and practices.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA logistics modules (EWM, SD, MM).
  • Experience with middleware technologies (SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, API integrations).
  • Basic ABAP debugging skills for issue resolution.
  • Understanding of freight contracts, Incoterms, customs processes.
  • Experience in transportation data analytics and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4–8 years of hands-on SAP TM experience (implementation/support).
  • SAP TM certification is an advantage.
