Job overview and responsibilities

This position is directly responsible for handling Accounts Payable functions. Will be responsible to process invoices and expense reports on time as per Company expense policy. Will be responsible for Goods and Serviecs Tax and Income Tax compliances at invoice level. Will be responsible to prepare summary data for Goods and Services Tax and Tax Deduction at Source for return filing and other decision making purposes. Will be responsible to maintain separate books of accounts (for all the stations of Company) as per Indian Accounting norms and consolidation thereof. Will ensure accurate booking of financial data which will be used for informed decision making and providing accurate external financial guidance.

End to End Payroll Processing for the United Airlines India division, end-to-end processing of payroll activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Review payroll files and reports, identify any errors or discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain high levels of accuracy, Monitor and ensure the submission of regulatory tasks, such as tax filings and statutory reporting, within prescribed timelines. Handle and resolve escalated payroll queries and issues, providing guidance and expertise to address complex matters. Managing day-to-day accounting transactions including the General Ledger, Accounts Payable (Vendor and Employees travel expense reimbursement) and other related activities. Maintain proper documentation and records related to SOPs, statutory filings and regulatory compliances. Monitor and stay updated on changes in the Companies Act, income tax, TDS provisions, GST, and other relevant laws and regulations. Ensure that all bank statements are reconciled on a timely basis and follow-up on all outstanding payments and reconciling items regularly.

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related area or equivalent work experience 3+ years of experience Knowledge of Payroll including, Labour law, Provident Fund, Taxation and other related Act Knowledge of Tally ERP 9 Extensive knowledge of Accounts Payable, General Ledger of books of account keeping Proficient in MS Excel and formulas like pivot, v-look up etc Excellent communication and organizational abilities In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and standards and Fluent in English (written and oral) Should be adaptable to work load and be expert in accounting fundamentals Commerce Graduate

5+ years of experience Advanced excel (if statement and macro etc.) Knowledge of Oracle
