YOUR TASKS

Job Objectives:

Securing non-infringement of third parties Intellectual Property Rights and protecting of own products by patents in order to be able to manufacture cost effectively

A. Basic Patent work

Instruction and training in terms technical Intellectual Property Rights (patents/utility models) for in the area of responsibility conducted developments including definition of methods, creating procedures & implementing new ideas Decision on the type and extent of IPR applications by external patents attorneys Preparation of technical IPR applications & opposition against third party rights and technical rights and support to inventors. Added to external patent attorney on technical property IPR in the official examination process in the countries of origin of invention and aboard, and of appeals in the appeal process Support of external patent attorneys in representing the development sites on issues related to technical IPR (objections, complaints) before the patent's office and patent courts Creation of reports about the possible infringement of technical IPR of third parties, preparing of risk estimations and decision on action to change the product to keep cost as minimal as possible Entrust and coordination of services such as patent attorneys also for the support/service of subsidiaries IPR matters Initiate and control the procurement, processing, analyzing of technical information and IPR information to internal development departments to avoid double development and possible IPR infringement to inform timely and comprehensive (Intellectual Property Rights, limitations of development, evaluation of third party products) Contribute to limit the impact of IPR-infringement by counterfeiters and preparation of decision to prosecute actions against counterfeiters Calculation of the inventor remuneration with employee inventors under the employee inventor compensation law and creation of internal policies to motivate employees and to optimize the costs Participate in the process optimization of all CPL processes concerning technical patents, patent search and internal patent database

B. Patent Research Work

Update and maintaining the internal patent database (patent Gate) with patents Classification of the weekly published new patents with regard to the relevance for Hella developments Allocation of the relevant patents to the internal patents' classes Forward the relevant newly published patents to the responsible developers by patent Gate for information purposes and assessment with regards to current developments Maintain the internal patent classes after consulting Conduct patent searches in the course of patent assessment "development projects" Examine the search tasks on completeness and clarifying the extent of the search tasks with the development sections and CPL Conduct searches in internal and external databases and preparing the search results as to technical relevance and patent law Accomplish the search report and distribute it to the development sections and CPL Conduct patent searches of invention reports with the process steps Conduct patent searches for external invention offers and infringements with the process steps Contact to the development sections attended to and CPL at regular intervals Coordination of meetings YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
BE /B. Tech/ M.E/ M. Tech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics/Electronics & Communication is a must. Preference Electrical Enginering.  3 to 5 years of experience English, both written and spoken.
