We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Developer with extensive experience in Snowflake Data Cloud to contribute to our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance data storage and processing solutions to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to gather requirements, optimize data workflows, and ensure seamless integration with various data sources.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Snowflake Development & Data Architecture :

    - Design and develop scalable, high-performance data storage solutions that align with industry best practices and data warehousing standards.

    - Hands-on experience with SQL & PL/SQL for data retrieval, transformation, and analysis.

    - Develop, optimize, and debug complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts within the Snowflake environment.

    - Seamlessly integrate Snowflake with external data sources, APIs, and third-party tools to streamline data ingestion and processing.

    - Stay updated with the latest Snowflake features, enhancements, and best practices to improve system performance.
  2. Data Modeling & Integration :

    - Work closely with data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data sources and requirements.

    - Design and implement efficient data models that ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy.

    - Integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple sources into Snowflake, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  3. Performance Optimization :

    - Conduct query tuning and performance optimization to improve efficiency and reduce computation costs.

    - Apply indexing, clustering, partitioning, and caching techniques to enhance Snowflake's performance.

    - Troubleshoot bottlenecks and recommend best practices for data retrieval and processing optimization.
  4. Data Governance, Security & Compliance :

    - Implement robust data governance, security policies, and access controls to protect sensitive information.

    - Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and enforce encryption, role-based access, and auditing mechanisms.

    - Establish and maintain data quality standards to eliminate inconsistencies and redundancies.
  5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :

    - Engage with business users, data scientists, and leadership teams to understand their data needs and deliver insightful solutions.

    - Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and implement effective data visualization strategies.

    - Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, presentations, and technical demonstrations to showcase Snowflake's capabilities.
  6. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing :

    - Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including data models, solution designs, and unit test cases.

    - Create user guides, training materials, and best practices for self-service analytics to empower end-users.

    - Foster a culture of learning by mentoring junior team members and collaborating on innovation-driven initiatives.
  7. Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting :

    - Perform rigorous testing and validation to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and functionality of Snowflake solutions.

    - Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs, data inconsistencies, and system performance issues in a timely manner.

    - Collaborate with QA teams to define test cases, validate results, and ensure adherence to business requirements.

Qualifications & Skills :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

- 6-8 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on Snowflake.

- Hands-on expertise in SQL & PL/SQL for data processing, transformation, and optimization.

- Prior experience working with SAP and JDE systems is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of data warehousing principles, ETL processes, and data modeling techniques.

- Experience in integrating Snowflake with multiple data sources and third-party applications.

- Sound understanding of data security, access controls, encryption, and compliance standards.

- Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable Snowflake solutions.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities to collaborate across teams effectively.
