The Job

As a Principal Engineer, you will be at the forefront of technical strategy and execution, with a primary focus on the MERN stack and cloud-native architectures. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and scale robust, high-performance systems that meet the demands of a global user base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design scalable, secure, and efficient solutions using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) while leveraging modern cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and optimize cloud-based architectures on platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, ensuring scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the MERN stack and cloud technologies, guiding engineering teams and contributing to strategic decisions.
  • Design and implement scalable microservices and RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
  • Drive system performance improvements, focusing on latency, throughput, and reliability.
  • Lead by example with hands-on coding, code reviews, and setting technical standards for the team.
  • Work closely with product managers, architects, and DevOps teams to align technical implementations with business goals.
  • Implement best practices for application security and ensure compliance with industry standards.

The Profile

  • You possess a Bachelor's in Computer Science, or a related field, and have at least 12 years of experience, with solid work done as a Software Architect.
  • This role requires deep expertise in the MERN stack, especially Node.js, and cloud-native architectures.
  • You have proven experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
  • You also have a strong background in designing and scaling microservices-based systems.
  • Knowledge of advanced database systems, including NoSQL and distributed databases would be preferred.
  • You are familiar with performance monitoring tools and cloud cost optimization techniques.
  • This role required exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
  • You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and are capable of explaining complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • You thrive in high-growth, fast-paced work environments.
