About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power BI Developer to join our growing Data and Project Management team.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain compelling and interactive business intelligence reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.

You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data analysis and reporting needs, transforming raw data into meaningful visualizations that drive business value.

This position offers a hybrid work model across our locations in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad.

We are looking for candidates with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements for data analysis, reporting, and dashboarding.
• Design, develop, and publish interactive and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Connect to various data sources (e.g., databases, data warehouses, cloud data platforms, Excel, SharePoint) and perform data modeling and transformation using Power Query (M language) and DAX.
• Create calculated columns, measures, and tables using DAX to support complex analytical requirements.
• Optimize the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards for large datasets.
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and other data security measures within Power BI.
• Publish and manage reports and datasets on Power BI Service, including setting up scheduled refreshes.
• Conduct unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for developed Power BI solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports, data connections, and data refreshes.
• Provide technical guidance and support to business users on Power BI functionalities.
• Stay updated with the latest features and best practices in Power BI and data visualization.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our BI processes and standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for Power BI reports and data models.

Required Experience and Skills:

• 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in developing business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and publishing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Strong proficiency in Power Query (M language) for data extraction and transformation.
• Solid expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating calculations and measures.
• Experience with data modeling concepts and creating relationships between tables in Power BI.
• Hands-on experience connecting Power BI to various data sources.
• Understanding of data visualization best practices and principles.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and effective Power BI solutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at different levels.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Power BI Service administration, including managing workspaces, apps, and gateways.
• Familiarity with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) or Azure Analysis Services.
• Knowledge of other BI tools is a plus.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, or other Azure data services.
• Experience in performance tuning Power BI data models and reports.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data manipulation or automation.
• Experience in the Energy or Sustainability industry is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in Power BI (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate).
