POSITION: OFFSHORE STRUCTURAL DESIGNER SP3DJOB DESCRIPTION:Manage on a project a team of Structural Draftsmen in order to carry out the structural 3D CAD model and the extraction of the structural design drawings in accordance with technical, budget and schedule targetsEnsure that the 3D CAD model is developed properly accounting for needs of all project functions availing of it as working tools (e.g. piping and layout engineering, weight control, material management, fabrication engineering)Design, execute or check the typical Structural studies including:3D modelling with Tekla (or equivalent 3D CAD tool)3D model reviews with other disciplinesdesign drawings for primary, secondary and tertiary structuresbill of materials or material take offextraction of bill of materials and other weight information from the 3D CAD modeldeveloping Company standards on the basis lesson learned and fabrication yard recommendationIn the case of project executionWrite the execution and quality control procedure for the 3D modelling and fabrication drawings in accordance with the project specificationsOrganize the work of own team, plan and follow-up the implementation of the resources mobilization planCo-ordinate the work of own team with the structural engineers of the projectCheck the input data and all the documents and information issued by own teamKeep all the stakeholders of the project informed of the modifications resulting from the work of own teamCheck permanently that all the assumptions, upon which own team work is based, keep up with the project development and warn the project Structural Lead of any detected anomalySupervise the update of the documents after comments issued by other disciplines (inter-discipline checks) or external stakeholders (Client, Yards, Third party review, etc.)Feed the Offshore Structural Department improvement system by reverting the lessons learned during the project
