The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US GAAP, AP/AR processes, payroll management, compliance, and reconciliations. This role requires precision, analytical ability, and a thorough understanding of US accounting and tax practices.Key Responsibilities:Accounts Payable (AP):Manage full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice verification, approvals, and payments.Review vendor contracts, purchase orders, and ensure accurate expense coding.Ensure timely vendor payments via checks, ACH, or wire transfers.Maintain accurate records of transactions and support month-end closing.Handle vendor queries and reconcile supplier statements.Accounts Receivable (AR):Oversee billing and invoicing to US clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Track incoming payments, post receipts, and maintain AR aging reports.Follow up with clients for overdue invoices and manage collection activities.Prepare cash flow forecasts and reconcile AR balances with the general ledger.Payroll Management:Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for US employees and contractors (W2, 1099, C2C).Verify employee timesheets, hours, and benefits deductions.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.Handle tax withholdings, filings, and year-end processes (W2s, 1099s).Coordinate with external payroll providers (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Gusto, QuickBooks Payroll).Financial Reporting & Compliance:Support month-end and year-end closing activities.Assist with audits, reconciliations, and financial reporting per US GAAP standards.Collaborate with accounting, HR, and finance teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.Generate AP/AR aging, payroll summary, and expense reports for management.Required Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5–10+ years of experience in US Accounting / Payroll / AP-AR Management.Strong knowledge of US GAAP, payroll tax regulations, and accounting principles.Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or SAP.Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with reporting tools.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.Experience working in US time zones and communicating with US clients or teams.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with staffing/consulting / outsourcing companies managing W2 and 1099 payrolls.Familiarity with US tax forms (W9, 1099, W2) and compliance filings.Ability to manage a small team of accountants or payroll specialists.
