Website: https://www.straive.com/ Roles and Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Fraud Operations Specialist to join our Fraud Prevention team. The individual will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and investigating potential fraudulent activities to mitigate financial and reputational risks to the organization. - Monitor transactions and account activities to identify suspicious behaviour and potential fraud. - Conduct thorough investigations into suspected fraud cases, including reviewing customer complaints, transaction logs, and other evidence. - Collaborate with internal teams (Risk, Compliance, Legal) to ensure appropriate action is taken on identified fraud cases. - Prepare detailed reports of findings and recommendations for corrective action. - Assist in developing and enhancing fraud detection tools and strategies to improve prevention and detection. - Stay updated on current fraud trends and emerging threats in the financial services industry. - Respond promptly to fraud alerts and take immediate action to prevent potential losses. - Provide support in disputes and chargeback processes when needed. - Conduct periodic fraud awareness training sessions for team members and other departments. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Finance, Business, Criminal Justice, or related field. - 2+ years of experience in a fraud investigation, fraud operations, or risk management role, preferably in the financial service s or e-commerce industry. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify patterns. - Familiarity with fraud detection systems, tools, and methodologies (e.g., transaction monitoring systems). - Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to fraud prevention and AML (Anti-Money Laundering). - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. - Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in work. Preferred Skills: - Certifications in fraud detection or prevention (e.g., CFE - Certified Fraud Examiner). Experience in fraud chargeback or dispute resolution processes.
