Europa Worldwide Group is an ambitious independent logistics operator with three divisions, Europa Road, Europa Air & Sea, and Europa Warehouse, and has been featured in The Sunday Times Top Track 250 for three years.The group employs over 1,100 people with 16 sales offices in the UK, and the Republic of Ireland, plus European teams in France, Belgium and the Netherlands and internationally in Cape Town Hong Kong, China, India and the UAE.We are looking forA talented Senior Software Developer to design, build and maintain EDI and API based integration solutions that connect our business with customers, suppliers, and partners.You will play a key role in modernising our integration landscape, leveraging both traditional EDI standards and modern RESTful APIs.What can we offer in returnCompetitive packageGenerous Time Off: 18 days annual leave, plus all 10 bank holidays & 7 days casual annual leaveFamily Leave: maternity, paternity, and adoption pay.Benefits portal: where you access a wide range of exclusive discounts, company benefits, wellbeing resources and much more.Wellbeing Focus: Access our employee wellbeing programme for your overall health and happiness.Referral Rewards: Earn up to £500 by referring a friend to join our team.Recognition Programs: Celebrate your contributions with our charity 50-50 and long service awardsWhat you will be doing: Develop, implement, and support EDI workflows and API integrations using industry standards (EDIFACT, FORTRAS, JSON, XML, REST, SOAP).Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyse business processes, and deliver integration projects on time.Create and maintain EDI/integration transaction maps, communication protocols, and integration documentation.Troubleshoot and resolve EDI and integration issues, working closely with internal teams and external partners.Ensure compliance with data security, ISO27001, privacy, and industry regulations.Automate and streamline EDI/integration processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce errors.Participate in system testing, validation, and deployment of new EDI integrations.Stay up to date with emerging EDI/integration technologies, integration tools, and best practices.Produce code that is performant, well-formatted, efficient, easily readable, maintainable, and appropriately commented.Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of system design policies, standards, and architectural components.Attend and participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, design/spec meetings, showcases, retrospectives).Our Ideal Person: A minimum of 4 years proven experience in a development roleProven experience in EDI development (EDIFACT, FORTRAS) and API integration (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).Strong knowledge of EDI standards (FORTRAS, EDIFACT), integration protocols (SFTP, AS2, HTTP/S), and data mapping tools.Experience with programming languages / technologies such as C#, GIT, familiarity with APIs/web services, and SQL Server.Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Experience with cloud-based EDI solutions or modern integration platforms is a plus.Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.Previous experience working with a UK based businessNB: No UK sponsorship opportunities are available for this positionEuropa Worldwide Group do not accept agency CV submissions unless specifically requested/ engaged with the role by the Internal Recruitment Team.
